Aim of the Article: To understand the impact of corona virus in life of people by conducting an unstructured interview
The present year of 2020 is facing an unexpected respiratory disease causing due to novel corona virus (COVID-19). In present time whenever we are thinking of a contemporary problem in our society, either we think in Indian context or in the context of world wide, the first and foremost issue that comes to our mind is the spreading of coronavirus outbreak. It is spreading physically as well as mentally from the China, Italy, Iran, Spain, Germany and other countries to India, from rich to poor societies without caring the cast creed or religions.
According to World Health Organization (WHO), Coronaviruses (CoV) are a large family of viruses that causes illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV). COVID-19 is a new strain that was discovered in 2019 and has not been previously identified in humans. Coronaviruses are zoonotic, meaning they are transmitted between animals and people. Detailed investigation found that SARS-CoV was transmitted from civet cats to humans and MERS-CoV from dromedary camels to humans. Several known coronaviruses are circulating in animals that have not yet infected humans.
Common signs of infection include
*Respiratory symptoms *Runny nose *Sore throat *Fever *Cough
*Shortness of breath and breathing difficulties
In more severe cases , infection can cause
*Pneumonia *Severe acute respiratory syndrome *Kidney failure and even *Death
Standard recommendations to prevent infection spread include
· Regular hand washing;
· Covering mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing;
· Thoroughly cooking meat and eggs; and
· Avoidance of close contact with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illness such as coughing and sneezing.
Centre for Disease Control and Prevention is responding to this pandemic respiratory disease caused by novel (new) coronavirus. Presently the situation poses a serious public health risk and leading to many impacts in psychological factors as well as in daily life of people in India as well as worldwide. The most important strategy that have been taken by the government of India and many other countries as well is Lockdown, which means people can go outside only for emergency cases and have to keep social distance and maintain self-quarantine. For the working people, for the students it is tough to keep oneself within a house for such a long days but people are maintaining just only to minimize or to prevent the outbreak. Many changes can be found mentally or socially or in other aspects. Everyone is trying not to be infected in any chance. Through an anthropological perspectives several things can be understood regarding the impacts in the life of people for all these issues related to corona virus.
Method Used and procedure:
The unstructured interview method was used to collect data regarding the aim of this study. An unstructured interview is an interview in which there is no specific set of predetermined questions, although the interviewers usually have certain topics in mind that they would cover during the interview. Unstructured interviews flow like an everyday conversation and tend to be more informal and open-ended. Interviewers must always keep in mind , that
· what is the purpose of the interview
· interview questions should not be deviated from the participant’s skill set
· conversation should be as minimum as possible to cover up
· the interviewer should be skilful and aware of the topic; and
· interview should not be deviated from the aim.
Advantages and disadvantages of unstructured interview :
1. Candidate can understand better about the concerned topic;
2. It is flexible in nature and more comfortable and interactive as well;
3. Very practical method to analyse an individualistic view
4. It breaks communication gap between researcher and informant
On the other hand,
1) It is time consuming;
2) Not suitable for every participant;
3) Chances of getting diverted is very high ; and
4) There is a risk of conversation on confidential matters to be spoken out.
As for the current lockdown situation it is not possible to go out, meet people and collect data face to face. But for the sake of the completion of the study the data was collected through telephonic interview.
Telephonic interview was taken from 20 individuals who are not from anthropological background. Participants were of different ages from 18 years to 50 years of old ages. Participants were requested to give an interview which took 15 to 20 minutes each. The questions that were asked to them were not structured, those were random according to the flow of the conversation. Near about 10 to 15 questions were asked to understand different aspects of where the impacts have been found like lifestyle changes, habits, awareness, precautions taken by them, changes in relationships, how they are spending their time, are they trying to aware others as well, food habits, mood swings, enjoyments and many more like this. The questions were not fixed to all the participants, it is like a short case study of everyone that was taken within some time.
The subjects were broadly chosen from 7 economic or educational status, those are,
· House wife with no personal income and personal income;
· Businessman and serviceman;
· Student of primary school and higher education;
· Professor and school teacher;
· Nurse;
· Small industrial worker ; and
· Old woman.

Conclusion:
So through the above interviews, I have experienced many aspects of our life. Corona virus outbreaking is such an unexpected incident in everyone’s life. Through these interviews I came across to many hearts, experienced many pains of economic pressure, psychological illness, pain of feeling useless, pain of being separate from loved ones. Lockdown is the most precious precaution that decided by out government to prevent the outbreak, although we are observing cases to be growing. But these interviews made me feel the inner voices of the people from age 10 to 80. How they are experiencing this incident. Tried to view the current situation through their eyes. One side the student who is feeling psychological pressure for having lots of assignments and projects and on the other side observed a student in lower educational standard to propose that she is feeling bore with this long leave wants to study again.
One side I found a student of bachelors who does not have that much tension for future, enjoying the days watching movies and web series and on the other hand found a responsible person who is constantly trying to pay the home loan through working from home resources and even learning new online courses to add in his CV.
I have found responsible fathers who have economic pressures to fulfil family demands as well as have tension to secure their child by not going out on this situation.
Anthropologists does not judge any heart but experience what the people are experiencing through their eyes. Being an anthropologist I have learned that, Corona virus is keeping it’s bad as well as good impacts in human life, like, the economical and psychological stress but simultaneously people are trying to learn new things as well, trying to find out the way to enjoy their life with their family, trying to understand the value of time and family members as well. This is the time when we will be together to face the challenge that is provided by a small virus. Through this unstructured interview on 20 individuals, the exploration of the impacts of corona virus in the life of people was an amazing experience for me to hear the inner voice of my acquaintances.
